1.1 These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the Usercentrics Academy Platform (“Academy Platform”), operated by Usercentrics GmbH and its affiliates (together referred to as "Usercentrics").
1.2 The Academy Platform provides a space for discussion, exchange of information, and Academy support regarding topics relevant to Usercentrics services and general compliance and consent management practices.
2.1 Access to the Academy Platform requires creating a Usercentrics Academy account.
2.2 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account.
2.3 Usercentrics reserves the right to refuse registration, suspend, or terminate any account at its sole discretion.
3.1 You agree to use the Academy Platform lawfully and respectfully.
3.2 Any actions that may infringe intellectual property rights are prohibited.
3.3 Usercentrics reserves the right to edit, moderate, or remove any content that violates these Terms or is deemed inappropriate.
4.1 Content shared within the Academy Platform is provided by Usercentrics, its partners, industry experts and others and does not constitute legal, compliance, or professional advice.
4.2 The content provided by Usercentrics and its partners reflects the state of affairs at the time of its creation. It is developed to the best of Usercentrics’ and its partners' knowledge and draws upon its expertise and experience. However, Usercentrics and its partners cannot guarantee that the information is accurate or complete in all situations. The company assumes no responsibility for any discrepancies resulting from changes in laws, circumstances, or other factors beyond its control.
4.3 Users should seek independent professional advice where necessary.
5.1 Usercentrics will process personal data in accordance with its
Privacy Policy.
5.2 Personal or sensitive information should not be shared publicly in the Academy Platform.
6.1 All intellectual property rights in the Academy Platform (software, design, logos, trademarks) belong to Usercentrics or its licensors.
6.2 You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Academy Platform without prior written consent.
7.1 Usercentrics may suspend or terminate your access to the Academy Platform at any time, for any reason, without liability.
7.2 Upon termination, any licenses granted to Usercentrics for your posted content shall survive.
8.1 Usercentrics may amend these Terms at any time. Notice of changes will be provided within the Academy Platform.
8.2 Continued use of the Academy Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
9.1 Usercentrics provides the Academy Platform “as is” without warranty of any kind.
9.2 Usercentrics disclaims liability for any damages arising from your use of or reliance on the Academy Platform.
10.1 These terms are exclusively subject to the law of the Federal Republic of Germany with the explicit exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the Sale of Goods.
10.2 The exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising out of and/or in connection with the usage of the Usercentrics Academy Platform, to the extent permitted by law, Munich, Germany.
